Honestly speaking whether to include the word singapore in the song in my opinion has 2 points of view

Firstly the good one without the singapore not only create another feeling another dimension to the songs.
As the previous national days have alwaes been dull due to mention of singapore in the song.It not that the song are no good but it just seem so fixed for several years.However this year was different.The whole song that was written by jimmy ye did not consist a single singapore throughout the song.Which in face it gave a total new life to the national day celebration songs which i had heard in the past,
It was a good try Jimmy

However not all singaporean could be as understanding in this issue.Loyal and people who are unable to adapt to new changes will feel that why is this national day celebration song did not even consist of singapore but mention abt cairo,bombay,eiffel tower,great wall,hollywood and other places that was mentioned in the lyric.
They feel that celebrating national day wif a song shuld include the word singapore.However they had failed to think that if we are unable to move with chances just like this year the national day speech venue was changed to national library.We are not able to progress further and better and soon people wil catch up wif us.
So my decision is not to include singapore in the lyric
